TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

Accessing the courses at The Ogburn Online School is simple and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are certain hardware and software which work best with our online curriculum. Please review our technology requirements below.

The Ogburn Online School portal can be accessed by desktop, laptop or tablet. The following is a list of the technology requirements, depending on the type of computer you have:

Microsoft Windows Requirements

  • Intel Pentium 4 2.33GHz, Athlon 64 2800+ or faster processor (or equivalent)
  • Windows 2000, XP, Vista or 7
  • 128MB of graphics memory
  • 128MB of RAM
  • Macromedia Flash Player version 8 or greater (version 10 for test assignments)
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater
  • Enable JavaScript in your browser options
  • Apple Safari 5.0.3 or greater
  • Google Chrome version 0.11.257.201 (including 11.0.696.57 update) or greater
  • Adobe Reader (viewing and printing certificates)
  • Sun JVM version 1.4 or greater (for select courseware)
  • Silverlight (to view webinars hosted by academic coaches)

  • Intel Core Duo 1.33 GHz or faster processor
  • Mac OSX version 10.5 or greater
  • 256 MB of RAM
  • Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or greater

  • Standard mouse and keyboard
  • Speakers and soundcard (not required for all courses).
  • Headset with a microphone (not required for all courses).
